Mission Trip: El Monte
This summer, a team of eight from our church, including three youth, had the incredible opportunity to serve at El Monte Christian Camp in Ticuman, Mexico. Our mission was simple: support the camp’s ministry through service, encouragement, and building relationships.
One of our main projects was painting the facilities of the camp’s missionary training school, including a large great room. These spaces are essential for equipping future leaders in ministry, and it was a joy to contribute to their upkeep.

Throughout the week, we connected with over 50 youth campers, encouraging them and supporting the dedicated camp staff as they began their ministry week. A particularly meaningful part of our trip was spending time with our missionary, Rebekah McMahan, as she continues to recover from a recent injury. Our team was blessed to come alongside her and her husband, Dennis, to offer prayer, support, and friendship during this season.
Beyond our work, we also experienced the richness of Mexican culture. We explored local caves, shared meals, and had meaningful conversations that reminded us of the beauty of God’s work across cultures and communities.
